Loss of Electricity Really Makes Me Feel Powerless

Thanks to last night's ice storm we lost power for about six hours today. It wasn't too bad for the first 3 hours, but after awhile I really started missing my electricity. So after staring at the wall for an hour and sleeping for another 2 hours, we decided to de-ice the car and go out for dinner. Much to our delight, electricity had been restored upon our return.



The good news was school was cancelled today. This meant I didn't have to go work and Tee got out early from class. Tee took these pictures of some of the icy conditions. The worst part about the whole thing is realizing that I am extremely dependent on electricity. It was so sad to have a TV with no power to watch it. It just sat there taunting me. I feel so spoiled now that the electricity is back on.
