Glad to be Done

I just finished having a root canal and it went much better than I had expected. In fact the hardest part was keeping my mouth open. My jaw did hurt by the end of the procedure which took about an hour.

There was pretty much no pain. The anesthetic shots didn't hurt. I could tell he was drilling, poking, and digging, but didn't feel any of it.

The doctor said everything looked good but he prescribed me an antiobiotic just as a precaution. He did take some pretty sweet digital pictures at different points of the procedure. I am going to see if I can get a hold of a couple and post them here soon.

A pleasant and unexpected surprise was a a get-well-soon balloon and stuffed animal the very sweet and thoughtful Theresa had sent to the apartment. It was waiting for me at the door when I got home.
