This morning I took Tee to her Orthopedic appointment. The doctor told us he believes she had torn her gastroc muscle which is the primary calf muscle. She is to stay off it for 2 to 3 weeks and will have to see a physical therapist for rehab. They also gave her a boot to help keep the muscle extended and compressed. On average, this kind of injury takes up to 6 weeks to heal according to the doctor.
A side note about the softball team is that they went on to place 2nd in the tournament. They managed this feat with only three outfielders and another guy injuring his ankle shortly after Tee and I left the game. For 2nd place, Iowa City Parks Department gave the team the cool plaque below.
