It's something I always wish I had taken seriously, but never saw anyway to take a real shot at making it work. I've bottled it up long enough and I am old enough to know that it's much more rewarding and satisfying to struggle through something you really love than to ease your way through something that isn't you.
Now is the best time with a flexible job that will let me shuffle things around to take the classes I need. I am also going to take Graphic Design and Web Development classes along with art classes. It's my hope to eventually work designing commercial and personal graphics and link that to my own web-based business in addition to freely producing my own art.
It's a big dream, and I don't mean to sound completely at ease with the whole thing, but I am taking a chance on myself, and the knowledge that this is something that I really love to do and is my true calling. The picture below is a painting I did when I was about 10. It played a big part in my re-inspiration.
